GROWTH TIPS
3 Proven Tactics for Higher Black Friday Revenue
I optimized 100’s of landing pages. Here are three tips to help you get more sales this Black Friday.
1. Fear of Missing Out
Urgency is the ultimate driver of sales. Add an absolute limit to your offer: limited spots, limited bonuses, limited stock, or a countdown.
When people feel they might not get another chance at this price, they buy faster. Black Friday promos are meant to generate urgency by default, but if you can reinforce the effect, it's even better.

The best way to implement it:
If possible, use a real constraint like support capacity or cohort size
Be specific on what changes after the deadline (price goes up, bonus disappears, cart closes)
Extending your deadline after it expires screams desperation
2. Anchoring Effect
Your price feels expensive or cheap depending on what you compare it to.
Make your offer easier to understand by breaking it down: price per day, price per month, or even "less than two lattes." Anchoring gives people a reference point, and suddenly, your offer becomes surprisingly affordable.

The best way to implement it:
The anchor should feel natural for your customers (the price of coffee, gym membership, weekly takeout, etc.)
Show the price first, then the comparison, so it looks like a bonus perspective, not a marketing hack
The math has to be fourth-grade level. If customers have to think about it, it won't help
3. Pain of Paying
Every purchase triggers a bit of anxiety. So help your customers relax.
Add a guarantee or make cancellations easy. By lowering the risk for your customers, you reduce their resistance to buying.

The best way to implement it:
Use a clear, specific guarantee like "30 days, full refund, one email, no questions asked"
Place the guarantee next to your call to action so it reduces friction at the decision point
Add one or two testimonials that mention how easy it felt to buy or how smooth the experience was to reinforce trust

Facebook Adds Nicknames to Make Groups More Reddit-Like
Facebook Groups now let users post under custom nicknames, giving people privacy without going fully anonymous. Members can build a recognizable identity inside a group while keeping their real profile hidden from everyone except admins and Meta. Nicknames apply to posts, comments, and reactions, and can be changed every two days, though the new name retroactively updates past activity. Some features like Live Video aren’t available when using a nickname, and group admins must enable the option.
YouTube Is Becoming the New Media Launchpad
Legacy publishers are shrinking, but creators and media founders are moving to YouTube because it offers real reach, strong monetization, and easy discovery. Big outlets like The Daily Beast and Complex are rebuilding their strategy around video, while a new wave of creator-journalists treat YouTube as their main home.
AI tools and video podcasts make production cheaper and faster, turning YouTube into the most efficient funnel for building an audience. With investors buying successful channels and live-streaming on the rise, the next generation of media companies is being built on this platform.
𝕏 Rolls Out New “About This Account” Transparency Panel
𝕏 is adding a new profile section that shows where an account is based, when it joined, how many times the username changed, and how the app was downloaded. The goal is to fight bots and make it easier for users to judge if an account looks authentic.
Some users already see the feature, though 𝕏 seems to be giving people time to review their info before showing it publicly. You can adjust whether your profile displays your country or just your region, and 𝕏 is testing a VPN-warning feature too.
