Avoiding the Always-on Creator trap
Today, I have to post:

Tomorrow, the same thing. Day after tomorrow… You get my point.
It’s a never-ending story for creators. If you’re not there daily, the algo will start hating you, and your impressions will drop. 😱
I don’t think any creator can do this every day for years—only the top 0.01%. But don’t worry; you don’t need to be in the top 0.01% to become successful.
You do need to be smart about how to produce your content.
I always quote Ed Sheeran who said: “I always need 30 minutes to start getting something meaningful on paper”. Eddy makes a good point in that you must empty the sewer before you get to the lovely, clear and great-tasting creative juices.
It takes a while. That’s why, lately, I haven’t advised people to spend 30 minutes daily on content production. I actually advise them to work on content for two hours in a single run.
You’ll be amazed at how much you can get done once your juices start flowing.
Remember how you do content production on a whim? You quickly scroll through your notes or your timeline, trying to find something meaningful you can create content on, but nothing meaningful leaves your brain and you end up with mediocre content.
That’s gonna flip once you’re in the zone.
So here’s my suggestion to create tons of great content and be mostly offline for five days per week.
At the beginning of the week, take a few hours to absorb new things. Listen to a new podcast, try new software, or read a new book.
Create a second brain for it. Write things down. It doesn’t matter if it’s on Notepad or Notion or whatever. As long as you structure it and don’t fall into the trap of not giving enough context.
The times I’ve created drafts of just a few words, which turned out to be useless because I couldn’t remember the context, were enormous.
Then, on Sunday, open your Second Brain and just start writing. It can lead nowhere. Give it 15 - 30 minutes, and you’ll see you’ll gradually get into a flow state.
Once you’re in the flow state, for the next 2 hours, you can create all the content you need for the entire week. Just schedule it in Hypefury and turn cross-posting on and you’re done!
