How to Gain 5–10K Followers in the AI Era
I’ve analyzed dozens of creators who started from scratch and grew fast in the last couple of years. Some gained over 10K followers just in the previous six months.
Between algorithm changes and AI changing the way we create content, there are three skills most creators overlook: aesthetic writing, practicality, and authenticity.
If you want to grow in the age of algorithms and automation, these three will take you further than any hack ever could.
1. Aesthetic Writing
Aesthetic writing isn’t about pretty words; it’s about how your post feels on a phone screen. It’s designed through rhythm, layout, and white space.
Start strong: Your first three lines should create a “scroll pull.” Problem → Tension → Hint of payoff.
Guide the eye: Think vertically, not horizontally. Each line should be short enough that readers see progress as they scroll.
Balance rhythm: Mix short and long lines to keep readers awake.
Edit visually: Read your draft on your phone. If a block of text looks dense, break it.
Example:
Boring Writing 👇
Audiences focus on content that offers good value for their time.
Most effective creators usually gather information from different sources, summarize it clearly, and share those summaries with their followers.
This approach helps them attract and maintain attention online.
Aesthetic Writing 👇
People pay attention to content.
The best content gives the highest return on attention.
That's why the best creators are information compressors.
They consume valuable info and compress it.
Then they share it with their audience.
Become an Information Compressor.

Try this: Take your last post, open it on mobile, and delete anything that could make you scroll away.
2. Practicality
AI can summarize what’s already known. Your edge is to show what you discovered through action.
The creators who grow aren’t educating. They’re demonstrating.
Here’s how to make your advice practical:
Focus on small wins. If someone can’t use your tip within 10 minutes, it’s too vague.
Anchor every claim. Add screenshots, data, or a sentence starting with “I tried…”
Show failure paths. “If this doesn’t work, try this.” Real creators debug in public.
End with a measurable step. “Do this once a day for a week and track replies.”
The simplest, most doable ideas often outperform the clever ones. Because people don’t share what impressed them, they share what helped them.
3. Authenticity
Authenticity doesn’t mean showing your breakfast or being raw for engagement. It means showing what you’re testing, what failed, and what you learned.
You don’t need to be an expert. You just need to narrate your experiments honestly.
That’s what makes small creators magnetic: they sound real.
Try these formats:
“I stopped doing XYZ this week, here’s what happened.”
“I posted twice a day for 10 days. Results below.”
“This strategy worked… until it didn’t.”
I'm starting to wonder if pivoting was a mistake.
It's been almost 2 months since I did, and honestly, I feel further away from product-market fit than I was before.

You build trust not by claiming authority, but by earning it post by post.

Attention spans are shrinking. Get proven tips on how to adapt:
Mobile attention is collapsing.
In 2018, mobile ads held attention for 3.4 seconds on average.
Today, it’s just 2.2 seconds.
That’s a 35% drop in only 7 years. And a massive challenge for marketers.

OpenAI Turns ChatGPT Into an App Platform
At DevDay 2025, OpenAI unveiled a new system that lets developers build full applications directly inside ChatGPT. Starting Monday, users can access interactive apps from Spotify, Canva, Figma, Coursera, and more.
Powered by the new Apps SDK and Model Context Protocol (MCP), these apps integrate right into conversations, allowing users to book trips, design mockups, or learn new skills through natural chat commands. OpenAI says future apps like Uber and Instacart are coming, with monetization tools on the way.
Influencers Match TV for ROI
A new IPA Effectiveness study finds influencer marketing delivers ROI on par with TV, outperforming paid social over time. Short-term ROI scored 99 vs. TV’s 100, while long-term ROI jumped to 151, driving 6.2% of total sales.
Health and beauty brands, especially skincare, saw the strongest returns. Researchers say the magic happens when creator-brand fit feels authentic.
Claude Code Adds Plugins for Fully Custom AI Workflows
Claude Code now supports plugins, bundles of custom commands, agents, hooks, and integrations that can be installed in seconds.
Teams can use them to standardize reviews, automate DevOps tasks, or connect internal tools. Developers can also create plugin marketplaces to share curated collections of setups across teams or the wider community. The feature is in public beta and works across both terminal and VS Code environments.
