GROWTH TIPS
How to make money this Black Friday
Next week, everyone will be showering you with discounts again.
You’ll be receptive to some of the deals. On services you already use or, on new things you know you’re getting a great deal on.
The big thing I’m trying to help you with is how YOU can make more money with your offers this Black Friday.
When everyone Zigs, you Zag.
Tip number one: Instead of discounts. Go full scarcity.
Only a few of these deals should be available to your audience, and you should make sure they sell out. You can even sell just one seat if you’re not sure you’ll sell out with two seats.
Tip number two: Show all your BF offers on a single page.
You don’t want to admit this because you have imposter syndrome, but everyone has one or more fanboys or fangirls. And what do they do? They buy more from you!
You might be precisely the kind of person they want to be taught from or buy something from. So make sure people can find what you’re selling.
Tip number three: Always sell a high ticket offer.
This tip relates to tip number two. You might have a $49 course and a $299 cohort. But there are always people who want the all-in package. The $2000 package deal. The $3000 Done For You offer.
And just by offering a more expensive ticket, you’re positioning your other offers as more affordable. And you’re increasing your own value.
The people who can’t shell out $2000 won’t do it anyway, but they might be more inclined to buy the $299 offer. And the people who don’t have time for the $299 self paces course can now buy your $2000 offer and get things done fast.
Good luck with selling out next week!

NEWS CREATOR SHOULD KNOW
Bluesky’s Big Break
Bluesky’s app usage has soared—up 519% in the US and 352% in the UK since election day. The platform is drawing users who are leaving 𝕏 or exploring alternatives.
This surge marks its strongest growth yet, fueled by journalists, opinion leaders, and their followers. While still smaller than Threads or 𝕏, Bluesky has cut the gap with Threads significantly in recent weeks. If growth continues, Bluesky might soon rival bigger platforms.
(We’re working to offer support to Bluesky through Hypefury asap.)
𝕏’s User Trends Show Mixed Signals
Andrew Hutchinson analyzed the claims about a “mass exodus” from 𝕏.
While 𝕏 lost a million logged-in users in Europe this year and even more logged-out visitors, its core daily active count remains at 250 million—unchanged for two years. Monthly users rose by 70 million, likely due to restrictions on logged-out views, but this doesn’t reflect real growth.
Despite the potential decline, 𝕏 is still the go-to app for breaking news in many communities.
Threads Starts to Move Away From Instagram
Threads is dropping the Instagram graph import. On Threads, Instagram chief Adam Mosseri announced:
“We’re removing the Instagram graph import from the onboarding flow. We’ve been running a test for a while now and it looks like people actually prefer their experience if they build a different graph on Thread than the graph that they had on Instagram. Feels a bit like a growing up moment.“
With 15 million new sign-ups this month, Threads might catch up to 𝕏’s user base early next year.
WHAT’S COOKING AT HYPEFURY
We Have to Shelve Hypefury’s Free Plan
A few weeks ago, 𝕏 raised the cost to access its API again 😓
Now, every month, we have to pay $1 per user (including free ones) on top of a $42,000 monthly fee.
This makes it impossible for us to offer the Hypefury app for free.
Starting this Black Friday, we’ll retire our free plan. We know this will affect 100K+ free users. To help them we’ll offer a one-time discount this Black Friday.
If you’re on a free plan, this will allow you keep using us without paying full price.
Watch your inbox for details next week.
