GROWTH TIPS

The 6-Month Sprint for Solo Creators

The real killer of creator businesses isn’t talent—it’s a lack of urgency. Goals without deadlines turn into fantasies, stress, and missed chances. Author Robert Greene has three powerful tips to develop a real sense of urgency and attain results faster.

1) Shrink the timeline: one outcome in 6 months

Pick one result (e.g., $10k from a product, 1k email subs, an MVP live). Give yourself 6 months. Set a realistic but ambitious target: think of a result you’re sure you can hit and make it 20% bigger. Then map your sprint:

  • Monthly milestones (6)

  • Weekly outputs (ship one feature, one offer, or two pieces of content)

  • Daily actions (90 minutes of deep work)

The Cultural Tutor went hardcore for a few months, tweeting daily and intentionally, and he got an insane growth rate:

2) Add challenges that get harder over time

Most people avoid discomfort and stick to what’s familiar. That keeps you slow. Use progressive challenges—raise the difficulty each month so growth creates momentum.

  • Level 1: Tweet 1 seed idea a day.

  • Level 2: Keep tweeting daily and post thoughtful replies to niche creators. After a good exchange, start a DM to build the relationship.

  • Level 3: Start posting multiple times a day.

  • Level 4: Post using different formats (threads, long tweets, videos, etc.).

  • Level 5: Repurpose your best threads or long tweets as newsletters.

Progressive overload forces speed, expands your learning curve, and compounds relationships, not just content.

3) Install speed habits

You can’t move fast if you’re fried.

Protect your energy: sleep, avoid doom-scrolling, and dedicate 2×90-minute blocks to deep work.

Automate boring tasks. If you want to grow on social media, Hypefury helps you automate a bunch of necessary but boring tasks. If your focus is elsewhere, find tools that liberate your time and energy.

Urgency is a choice. Shrink the timeline, add pressure, and ship every day. Do that for 6 months, and “someday” turns into results.

GROWTH NEWS

Reddit Wants to Be the Next Big Search Engine

With 70M weekly search users and 6M on its AI-powered Reddit Answers, Reddit is aiming to rival traditional search. The plan involves unifying its search tools, expanding availability, and redesigning the app to prioritize search. The goal is simple: make Reddit the first place people go for answers.

Instagram Adds Reposts and a Location Map

Instagram is rolling out post reposting and a new Instagram Map, borrowing from Snap Maps to boost real connections over algorithm-driven feeds. The map shares location only with consent and limited updates, while reposts push friends’ content into the main feed. Still, some users aren’t convinced their privacy is fully protected.

Pinterest Hits 578M Users, Revenue Up 17%

Pinterest added 8 million users in Q2, all from outside the US and Europe, bringing its total to 578 million. While growth stalled in Western markets, revenue climbed to $998M, up 17% year-over-year, driven by Gen Z engagement and better shopping features.
