GROWTH TIPS

This will help you from being stopped by imposter syndrome

It’s probably the biggest disease among young creators.

Imposter Syndrome.

It’s not really contagious but it can definitely kill your creator business.

And I don’t want that for you.

What I want to help you with is to become more confident as a creator. And it’s easier than you think.

Don’t get me wrong, though. I still get a relapse every now and again. I think it’s normal and it keeps you grounded.

It helps you to be on your toes to bring out the best in you.

If you’re a beginner creator, the easiest cure for Imposter Syndrome is teaming up with someone close to you.

Show them your creations. Ask for their feedback. (btw, reply to this email when you don’t have anyone you can share this with. I can probably hook you up with someone)

Once you have your feedback game going, the next best step is to just press publish.

Your friend is there for a little extra backup and support. Your content is there to show you the way in the future. Pay attention to what resonates and what doesn’t. And experiment a lot. Your audience will show you the way.

And if you don’t have a big enough audience yet to get consistent feedback from, just find a lot of interesting content in your niche you can reply to.

Probably 30% of my replies lead to new posts on my timeline. You can get rapid feedback from replying to bigger accounts. If you need a list of people you should follow, follow this 𝕏 list.

And remember: in the beginning of your journey, you’ll have a tiny audience. Not many people will see your content. So it’s also worth realising the content you’re sharing won’t be scrutinized.

You’ll get more fans and haters as you learn and grow. By the time you reach that point, you’ll have developed thick skin and long-cured imposter syndrome! And the only cure for it is to press publish as much as possible!

Here, have some jet fuel

Your newsletter, now exiting the stratosphere.

We’re beehiiv, the newsletter platform built for builders. Every product we drop and feature we create is made with one goal in mind: exponential growth.

Our three founders left Morning Brew to bring the tools and tech to creators everywhere that helped turn their old company into a multi-million dollar operation. So when we say we can take you from “up-and-comer” to household name, we mean it.

If you need a beautiful destination for your content, use our no-code website builder. If you want paid subs, we don’t take a dime. If you want big name sponsors, we connect you with the likes of Nike and Netflix.

In short: maybe your newsletter is stuck on the ground floor because your newsletter platform is stuck in the last decade.

NEWS CREATOR SHOULD KNOW

xAI’s first acquisition: Hotshot

xAI just made its first acquisition—snapping up text-to-video startup Hotshot.

It’s known for its fast-evolving AI video and GIF models. Its tech might soon allow X users to turn text into video clips right inside the app.

Instagram tests AI-generated comments

Instagram’s now experimenting with AI-suggested comments.

As spotted by Jonah Manzano, users are seeing a “pencil with a star” icon that auto-generates comment ideas. Basically, you can let Meta’s AI do the talking for you—no need to think up a response yourself.

Facebook Stories now eligible for creator monetization

Facebook just expanded its monetization program—Stories are now included!

Creators can earn from videos, Reels, photos, text posts, and Stories, all under one simplified system. More content formats, more revenue streams.

WHAT’S COOKING AT HYPEFURY

How to avoid mistakes that kill sales and businesses

In sales, making mistakes is normal.

But not all mistakes are equal. Some are deadly—and they will put you out of business fast.

In particular, pay attention to:

  • The Timing Trap

  • The Single-Channel Addiction

  • The Lottery Fallacy

With these, you can’t say, “Oops, I made a mistake
”

You have to prevent them. At. All. Costs.
